The Senior High School program prepares the students to be equipped with the needed skills and knowledge to be ready for work right after graduation. This bridges the job-skills mismatch that has left many of our country’s young graduates unemployed despite the continued growth of the economy, especially in the manufacturing industry.
In Grade 11, the students are prepared to transition from students to workplace contributors through in-class learning where they gain basic knowledge, skills, and attitude needed to jumpstart their careers in the manufacturing industry. During the pandemic, the school transitioned to 100% digital learning. Recognizing the importance of hands-on activities to effectively deliver technical-vocational curricula, FIRST College is adapting the Hyflex Adaptive Learning.
In Grade 12, students are immersed in multinational manufacturing companies . The immersive and progressive training at the workplace for one school year enables the students to apply and practice what they have learned in the actual work setting. In addition, they get to meet industry professionals who have pursued the same career path and learn from their experience.
Our Lady of Peace Mission School, Inc. is committed to the success of our students by elevating their learning experience through skills-based assessment, project-based learning, and personalized instruction through technology.
Its curriculum, which is Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Industry-relevant, Information age enabled, and Innovative, blends theoretical learning from synchronous and asynchronous sessions and practical instruction from workshops, laboratories, and work-based training.
The transition to digital learning during the pandemic has helped the school not just as mitigating steps against the risk posed by COVID-19 but in implementing curriculum transformation towards a customer-centered, outcome-based, and holistic learning paradigm, putting forward a long-term vision for the way ahead for our digital education.
